Oh my gosh! Here we are in the second week of May and my last post was way back on April 19Th. My wonderful son, John Vincent, has been at me for the last few weeks about getting back to my blogging and finally....here I am! To be truthful I have been busy but mostly I've been just TOO LAZY! I will be catching up with the reading of all my "Blogs that make me go Ohhhh!" and with posting my own bits and bytes over the next few days. So keep reading and watching for me and catch up on all the happy and sad things that have happened to me since my last real post in April. There's lots to tell you once I get my thoughts all organized. Isn't that an oxymoron? For me it is, I'm sure! LOL! I'll be back tomorrow so keep in touch!

Update on my latest project.
The first week of March has been put behind me and I am on to a whole new week ahead of me. Hmmmm.....this isn't necessarily a good thing you know. Last Sunday I posted about a great new idea which involved me taking time each day to do one thing over and above regular daily stuff. Sounded like a good idea at the time. I didn't write it in blood and I am glad I didn't promise my first born or I would be without a son right now. I did however manage 3 nights out of the five to do an extra little something around the house so I am still pleased with myself. I am not counting Saturdays and Sundays in this project. I have enough cleaning and running to do on weekends without actually looking for more stuff to do. Ya, like I really would have to look hard. Open my eyes and look in any direction in the house and I could find something requiring my attention. Hubby John STOP LAUGHING right now!! I am going to continue the experiment for the next month and see if I can't get myself into the habit of doing one extra thing each night. I must admit that I did feel really good the nights that I did do something. It made me feel good to see my dining room table and almost my whole living room too! LOL....Hubby John already weak from three weeks of fighting pneumonia almost passed out on discovering that we really did have couches in the living room.
I told you they were there somewhere, didn't I HJ? So on with the show! I will try to do better this week and I'll let you know how it goes.

Somethings to do.
I can't believe that it is March already. January and February sped by like speeding bullets. I feel like I didn't accomplished anything in those two months. So I have decided that for the month of March I will try to do one thing around the house each day. I don't mean cooking, cleaning or doing laundry. Those are every day things. I will however try to pick one job that I have been saying I am going to do/meaning to do/wanting to do and just do it. I am not setting this venture in cement but I will honestly try to accomplish a task each day. Since I just came up with this hair-brained scheme and it is 8 pm on a Sunday night I will quickly finish this posting and go do something. But what? I know! I will go and clean off the kitchen table....again and I will even try to keep it cleaned off for the whole month of March. Hubby John, if you are reading this STOP LAUGHING! I am really going to TRY to do this. So to all my blog readers, bye-bye for now. I am off to start clearing the table. BTW if any of the family is reading this and you get a call that I am in jail for husbandside please come and bail me out.
HJ I SAID STOP LAUGHING.

Happy New Year
DICTIONARY RESULTS: RESOLUTION
res·o·lu·tion (plural res·o·lu·tions) noun
Resolution: a decision: a firm decision to do something
I think that as soon as you use the phrase “New Year's Resolution" you have subconsciously screwed up all your good intentions. You are setting yourself up for failure especially when you make comments that start with the words, "For my New Year's resolutions I am going to.....". It is a proven fact that most people are not capable of keeping their NYR. They are good for a few weeks and then POOF! Goodbye NYR! Technically I did not make a New Years Resolution for 2009. I figured if I did not say the NYR phrase out loud that I might have a better chance of doing what I need to do. I talked to myself and I feel that I need to start trying to take better care of myself. I will try very hard to get back to my Curves classes on a regular basis. I will try to eat fewer sweets. I will try to eat more healthy stuff and less bad stuff. Is French fries bad stuff? I will start taking my health issues (all controllable with medications) more seriously than I have in the past year or two.
Part of my problem is that I like eating candy and I like French fries. I am good at taking most of my meds but there are some that I don't want to take on a regular basis. Doctor say's I need to.
I never said any of this out loud to anyone at, near or on the stroke of midnight on December 31st so technically it is NOT a New Years Resolution.
But I like me and I miss my usual happy self so I have decided that these are some things that I need to try to do for myself. I hope to make 2009 a Happy New Year!

It's About Time
My daughter Jaime is a beautiful, smart and intelligent young woman who has her own blog. I love to go onto it and read what she has been up to. That way I can be more involved with her without being a creeper mom. You know what I mean by that don't you? They are the kind of mom that hang on and want to be part of every single minute and hour of their childrens lives and don't want to let go. Jaime has my sense of humour and she does me proud. Thank goodness she got her legs from her father's side of the family. My side, except for my only sister Alison who took after my dads side, tends to have short legs. It's all my moms fault that I take after her side in the leg department.
Well her side on her fathers side. Her mother, my grams who I totally adore and miss so much even after all these years, had short legs. In fact she was short all over from top to bottom but not from side to side. So that is why I think the short leg problem came from my mom's, moms side.
Do you see what happens when I get started? I get side-tracked really easily.
....sigh......all for the want of long legs... it is one of my few disappointments in life.....sigh......except for my toes and I will leave that for another time...
Anyway, it was Jaime's idea that I should start a blog of my own. It seems I have lots to say and I suppose this is a good way to say it. So I decided it was time to take the plunge and start blogging. I know Jaime will be the first to say...it's about time.
