HE IS.
Hubby John and I had Monster Boy Ronan and The Wee Fiend Kian stay over Friday night. There were lots of giggles, a few tears, lots of cuddles and of course kisses. After teasing Ronan and telling him he couldn't sleep in my bed because he is stinky and he snores, he looked at me with the wisdom that only a three year old has, and said, "I don't snore I don't know how to do that yet!" What could I say except "Well you're still stinky!" He just laughed and told me that he's still a handsome boy. Sigh...he's right. He is.

What They Need To Live.
I just finished doing a five day challenge on Facebook. I had to post three positive things every day for five consecutive days. It was, for me, an easy challenge. I have such a blessed life. Family, friends, fairly good health, faith in God. A safe secure place to live, food to eat and a job that I like. A warm bed to sleep in and a nice house to live in. Clean clothes and shoes on my feet. I live in a country that is a good country to live in. I am not saying my life is perfect. I am saying I am very happy and blessed with the life I have. It is very sad to think of countries where the bare requirements of life are either not available or are almost impossible to get. Clean drinking water, food, soap, warm or cool clothing, shoes, medicine and clean unpolluted air. These are things that I have every day. Things that I take for granted. Things I will never have to worry about. Even if I were to loose my job there are agencies in place to ensure that I survive. I don't have a lot of disposable income. As often as I am able, I give money to charities and churches that are trying to help those in poor countries. I donate items to businesses that help raise funds for those in need. I do what I can to help. If every person would help where and when they can maybe the world would become a more livable place for those who don't have what they need to live.

WE ARE ALWAYS LOVED.
Wow! I can't believe it has been this long since my last post. It has been a very busy six months. Not a good six months. More sad than happy. But even in the dark hours there have been spurts of sunshine. Hubby John and I have gotten lots of loving, hugs, kisses, snuggles, tickles, giggles and laughs from our Cutie Patootie Neve, The Wee Fiend Kian and Chunky Cheeks Ronan. Those three little people are our pride and joy. They always turn the bad days good and the black clouds blue. We are so very thankful that we have been blessed with them in our lives. So we'll continue to thank God for Her blessings and will continue to love those three babies that give us so much joy and will be content knowing we are are always loved.

The 10 Commandments for modern day.
If you get offended by religious based ideas then please, read no further.
Have a great weekend and drop by another day to read another post.
If you do continue reading then please don't get your undies all in a knot by me referring to God, as She. I don't think She minds that I do that so you shouldn't either.
The following article was emailed to me a long, long time ago. Even though about 10 years have sped by since I first read it, I feel that it still applies today.
(Please note that I have made word changes to #6 and to #10, only to be more unisex and to #2 with changing the word Honour to Respect...same meaning just more updated.)
I want to give kudos to the Cross Trails Church in Fairlie, Texas for sharing and posting this on the web.
So after all of that here I go with the actual post:
People here in Texas have trouble with all those shalls and shall nots in the 10 commandments. Folks here just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks out in west Texas got together and translated the "King James" into "King Ranch" language: These are the Ten Commandments, cowboy style.
1: Just one God
2: Respect yer Ma & Pa.
3: No telling tales or gossiping.
4: Git yourself to Sunday meeting.
5: Put nothing before God.
6: No fooling around with another fellow's gal (or another gal's fellow).
7: No killing.
8: Watch your mouth.
9: Don't take what ain't yours.
10: Don't be hankering for someone else's stuff.
These are good, plain and simple words to live by no matter what your religion is.
I wish you all blessings in your lives.
May God watch over you and yours, bless you and keep you in Her care.

An Irish Blessing.
Hubby John is wearing the green today.....that is to say he's not feeling well at all....he still has "THE BUG". He is slowly getting better but I think he has a ways to go before he is in the pink.
With this being St. Patrick's Day and me having Irish in my blood (both Mother & Father's side) how could I not celebrate with a bit of green humour? I must admit that I stole this joke from the Bonnie Hunt Show and Bonnie's lovely mother Alice. And so, without further ado and a bit of added flourish from me, here it is:
Paddy O'Brien was showing his best friend, Riley O'Neil , the ring he had bought for his hopefully, soon to be fiance, Margaret.
"Would you be looking at this beautiful emerald diamond I bought for my wee lassie. She'll no be turning me down this time I'm thinking!
Reilly, looked at the ring but only saw a cheap piece of clear glass bling.
He turned to Paddy and asked,"Paddy, are ye daft man? Tis not an emerald diamond...it's not green!"
With a smile and a knowing wink Paddy replied, "Ach, give it time boyo and it will be".
Stop Groaning!!!! It wasn't that bad....really! Well maybe it was....LOL!
So OK, I shouldn't tell ethnic jokes because it is in bad form and all that......but really, if you can't laugh at yourself then why shouldn't you laugh at someone else....What??!!??...Naw....I'm just kidding!!! Really!!! However as today is a special day and because my great great grandparents came from across the big pond, I wanted to leave you with a bit of the green. This Irish blessing is one I came across years ago. I use it when giving house warming gifts for friends and family who have bought new or have moved into another home.
I hope you like it as much as I do and I wish it for each one of you.
AN IRISH HOUSE BLESSING.
God bless the corners of this house and all the lintel blessed,
And bless the hearth and bless the board and bless each place of rest,
And bless each door that opens wide to strangers as to kin,
And bless each crystal window pane that lets the starlight in,
And bless the rooftree overhead and every sturdy wall.
The peace of man. The peace of God. With peace and love for all.
