Update on my latest project.

The first week of March has been put behind me and I am on to a whole new week ahead of me. Hmmmm.....this isn't necessarily a good thing you know. Last Sunday I posted about a great new idea which involved me taking time each day to do one thing over and above regular daily stuff. Sounded like a good idea at the time. I didn't write it in blood and I am glad I didn't promise my first born or I would be without a son right now. I did however manage 3 nights out of the five to do an extra little something around the house so I am still pleased with myself. I am not counting Saturdays and Sundays in this project. I have enough cleaning and running to do on weekends without actually looking for more stuff to do. Ya, like I really would have to look hard. Open my eyes and look in any direction in the house and I could find something requiring my attention. Hubby John STOP LAUGHING right now!! I am going to continue the experiment for the next month and see if I can't get myself into the habit of doing one extra thing each night. I must admit that I did feel really good the nights that I did do something. It made me feel good to see my dining room table and almost my whole living room too! LOL....Hubby John already weak from three weeks of fighting pneumonia almost passed out on discovering that we really did have couches in the living room.
I told you they were there somewhere, didn't I HJ? So on with the show! I will try to do better this week and I'll let you know how it goes.

Great idea. I have been trying to tell myself to do one room a day. Now that has worked but I am back to square one as the rooms are all in a shambles from both of us creating every day and of course the new puppy...TABER...Thank you for the sweet comments in my blog. No he was not a surprise but I was surprised when my husband immediately wrote out the check without even a whisper. It was a big one. I love Taber work or no work he is GRAND.
Have a lovely week. I am off to clean the kitchen.
Love and hugs,
Pat

Hey Lois! So nice to hear from you. I'm feeling pretty good these days. (0:

Your organizational project sounds GREAT. We did a big clean up this weekend as I was having some of D's lady cousins over and boy...is it ever wonderful to wander around a clean house with no giant dust bunnies, dog-hair tumbleweeds or crap cluttering every surface. Let's see how long this lasts...

Hope your poor hubby recovers soon from the nasty pneumonia.

Good on ya, Lois! Three nights of getting things done IS something to be proud of. Don't be too hard on yourself, either. I am also not a fan of organizing stuff, and as much as I know I can do better in that area I also know that I'm happy that I use my time on other important things--nursing a sick hubby and always being so attentive to your family are much better substitutes for cleaning tabletops any day. You have your priorities straight. :)

Good stuff, mom! Now the difficult part of trying to keep it cleared - that's what I have a hard time with. Hmmm I wonder where I picked up the kitchen table dumping ground habit from?! Must have been dad. ;)

Gosh Lois, I admire your energy and determination. Sounds like you are getting things done even if you haven't done something additional EVERY single day. I still say, good for you! Thanks so much for stopping by Meggie's Stuff. I have asked my vet about introducing Piper to my kitties. Her only constructive suggestion was to be sure and keep them all safe. I guess that means don't allow a big free for all, which I would never do. We are making small baby steps. I just need to be patient...I keep telling myself that.
