Jabbering Jaime has closed down her blog and has moved to Gingham Skies her Etsy shop/blog.
You can find her link here. Jaime is such a thirty something woman. A daughter, wife, sister and aunt. She never backs down from a fight she believes in, will stand on a soap box if needed and never pulls her punches. She is passionate about the people she loves. She knits and sews, cooks and plays a mean game of Scrabble. Jaime will graduate from teacher's college in June. I am truly amazed at the depth and scope of this talented young woman. I wonder where Jaime gets her wonderful and talented abilities from? Her sense of justice and fair play from her father, her sewing and knitting skills from her grandmothers, her cooking abilities from her dad I think. Her passion for words, spoken, written and read, she gets, I think, from me. Sometimes mothers are good for more than just teaching daughters how to iron. I never taught Jaime how to iron. I truly believe that permanent press clothing was one of the greatest inventions of the twentieth century. Stop laughing....I'm serious! I do have an iron. We got it as a wedding present. I just never used it if I could help it. It just so happens that Becky, one of Jaime's best friends, taught her to iron. But her mother, that's me, did teach her to love the written word. I taught her how to create with words and how to explore with words. I think I did a really good job. Go and read her blog. I think you will agree with me.

What a beautiful daughter you have! I did not teach my daughters to iron either! They did get many other lessons from me though.

Oh geesh, mom. Thank you for this post - I was having a blah moment and then read this and now I'm feeling like a million bucks.
You have taught me a million and one things and all of them are more important than ironing. :) I am where I am today thanks to your love, support and encouragement. THANK YOU!
xoxo
