Wow! What an awesome choice for this weeks theme.
I love watching movies.
The very first big screen movie I ever went to was in 1965.
I love watching movies.
The very first big screen movie I ever went to was in 1965.
I was ten years old and I fell in love for the very first time.
The movie was Girl Happy starring Elvis Presley.
SIGH! I became a lover of movies from that day on.
Since that time I have seen many, many, many movies.
Happy, Sad, Scary, Mysterious, Funny, Sexy, Silly and some that were just plain Dumb.
Some of the movies I like include Gone With The Wind, Wizard of Oz, The Harry Potter series, Lord of the Ring series, Ghost, Driving Miss Daisy, Die Hard series, The Colour Purple, When Harry Met Sally, Lady in Red and so many, many more. I enjoy watching any movie with Mel Gibson, Morgan Freeman, Julia Roberts, Robert De Nero, Candice Bergman, Bruce Willis, Sandra Bullock, Will Smith. Diane Keaton, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks or Jack Nicholson. These are just a few of the many talented actors and actresses that "go ahead and make my day!" There are way too many movies and talented stars that I enjoy watching for me to mention them all BUT THE BEST MOVIE, the absolute best movie ever produced was in 1985 and is called "THE GOONIES". It is a movie I watch over and over and over again. I love this movie. It is my absolute favourite of all time. It is good clean fun. It makes me feel good when I watch this movie. What's not to love? Adventure, buried treasure and a happy ending. Sorry Hubby John but guess what we're watching this weekend.....again!

Who doesn't love Goonies?! Such an awesome movie. I think we must have watched it a zillion times over the years mom! Great pick.
That is a blast from the past!!! Now I'm gonna have to rent it...I wonder if Kincardine video stores still stock movies this old?
I look forward to one of my fave movie nights: sitting outside in Waterloo Park in the summer. We'll have to make it a date! Casablanca was good fun!
Lois....thanks for stopping by my blog. I got a chuckle when I read your profile that you like the Goonies. Then when I went to your blog, there it was, in vivid colour...Lacka..he loves chocolate. LOL....I want to get it for my kiddies on DVD next week.

My family all love the Goonies, Chunk is a legend.... it has it all it is true. My dh would watch it over and over, that and "Stand by Me" - I think I know that one of by heart. For me "The Sound of Music" has so many happy memories, me and my sisters used to multipart to that and have the LP playing to sing along to at the relevant point, your blog brought to mind lots of memories THANKS!
