As angry as some of us may be at the thought of a lot of Syrian refugees coming into the country, if you have any compassion in your heart and mind, you will honestly have to admit how hard it must be for these people to leave everything they have ever known, to start over again. Am I worried about what will happen across Canada? Of course I am! Still, I have a very good life and don't really need anything, so how can I, as a Christian and a good person (at least I think I'm a good person) bemoan the fact that refugees are coming? If I am being totally honest, I can't. I wish every refugee, regardless of where they are from, a happy and exciting new life in Canada or in whatever country they settle in. To all refugees I hope that you find new friends and that your life is better for you. I pray to my God that He watches over you and your family. I pray that you find peace, happiness and eventually a love for your new home and country. May the God you believe in protect and guard you through your journey as well. Through all your trials and adventures to come GOD BLESS.

God Bless.
The Globe and Mail printed a very good article about Syrian families waiting to find out if they are approved for resettlement in Canada. http://trib.al/DgCvjcK As I said it is a very good article. I hope you take time to read it. With that being said I have a few things I want to say.

Like that's goanna happen any time soon.
WOW.....it has, again, been forever since I have posted anything. Not that I haven't gone to visit my favourite " Blogs that make me go Ohhh" now and then. I have. Sometimes I leave a comment and sometimes, more often than not it seems, I just lurk around and enjoy just being an anonymous reader. I know that I have been saying that I am going to post more often but sometimes life gets in the way. Between work, grandbabies, family, home stuff, extended family stuff, Facebook, Pinterest and old age, I just run out of time. I turn 60 this coming April. I am not getting any younger but my to-do list keeps getting longer. So I think the smart move for me to make would be to get rid of what takes up most of my time. So what would that be? Work! Yep that's the answer to all of my time problems. I need to retire! Seriously! And to show how serious I am I have added it to my to-do list. Right under the line that says, WIN THE LOTTERY! SIGH! Like that's goanna happen any time soon.

WHAT'S THE USE?
..............INSERT REALLY BIG SIGHHHHHHH HERE..........
I have turned out to be my mother. I never ever planned on doing that. Now, I can remember a time when I cried and repeated my mantra of that particular day," I don't want to be like her...I don't want to be like her...". Mind you, that was a very long time ago, I was very upset and angry with her and I was very young. Lots of time has passed since that day. Now, as a more mature woman, I have come to realize that my mother is my mother and that she is who she is and that she is not going to change at this time in her life. Not even for me. So I have come to accept her as she is. My mom is a good, kind hearted, party animal who is also mother, grandmother and great grandmother to sixty-six odd people (and in some cases I do mean really odd). So my Mom is loved by a lot of people, me included. I am sure that there is a special place set aside for her in heaven and I am so sure that she will ruffle a few feathers and bend a few halo's when she gets there. I hope that is not for a long time yet. She has too much life to live down here still. So it's OK if I have turned out to be her....in some ways!
But I digress....... I have turned out to be my mother in that ...I am a pack rat. I am different than mom in that she is a pack rat of everything. I AM NOT! I am only a pack rat of craft items: stickers and embellishments, buttons and old greeting cards, paper and envelopes, spools of ribbon, coloured string and bits of twine and lace to be used as craft items. I especially love boxes and containers. I must admit to a special fondness for them and will buy them whenever I come across them. Of course, the price has to be right before I pass over my pennies....even for one of them. Almost anything and everything that can be used is saved, stashed and/or snagged by me, in my pursuit of craftiness. I try to keep my craft supplies together but sometimes they do overflow into our daily living area. Hubby John is quite patient and understanding when this happens and if it bothers him he doesn't say anything about it. I guess he knows that sooner or later, in most cases, probably later, I will clear up the overflow and delegate all of it back to the bins and boxes where it belongs. Whenever possible I like to stop by my favourite second hand shops and do a quick run through. You never know what your going to find in an impromptu search for craft supplies. Of course I aways keep an eye on Michael's and the Dollar store because they always bring in new stuff. Michael's is especially good with their sale items. If you wait long enough it will most likely go on sale for a much more reasonable price. Patience is a virtue and I can be oh so virtuous when I need to be. I also find that Home Sense has a good clearance sale area where you can find some cool stuff for crafting. Just last week I snagged 2 hand painted glass fish for twenty nine cents each. I was very happy! Anyway, give me a good pair of snips and I can remove berries, flowers and glimmer stuff from almost anything.
One thing I have collected for the past few years is old calendars. Originally I was given the calendars as Christmas presents. They are mostly Jim Daly copies. He paints awesome pictures of children and their activities. He does beautiful work. The calendar pictures are so nicely done that I hated to throw them out. The pictures are large - 13 1/2" X 12". I had no use at all for them but I just could not destroy such beautiful reproductions. It seems such a waste that they are just sitting here year after year. They are not in my way at all. I have them stashed in an old bin. You know the old saying...Out of sight out of mind? Well that was me and these. The other day while looking for a particular item I opened the bin where the old calendars had been placed. I took a few minutes to look at those beautiful pictures and I was reminded that I should do something with them. They are too nice to just leave hidden there in the dark. They are too big to mod-podge (sp?) and anyway it would be a shame to cut them up.
So here I am asking myself" What's the use?"

That's gonna leave a mark.
Grrrrrr.......You know....it really makes me mad when I get emails that send blessings my way and ask me to continue the circle and not break it.....and then in little tiny font size at the end of the email, it adds that something bad, evil, not nice, or nasty will happen to me if I break the circle and I don't forward the email.
This really upsets me!!!!
Today I got this email...three times:
THIS IS PRETTY NEAT. 93 % won't forward
A small request. Just one line
Dear God, I pray for the cure of cancer. Amen
I thought that this was a nice little prayer and that anyone who has half a brain would agree with it; even if they are not a person who believes in the power of prayer.
After all how could anyone not want to hope, pray, ask or wish for an end to cancer?
But then I scroll down and I read this:
ALWAYS REMEMBER : "WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND"
What the heck???!!!???!!!
Now, why on earth, would I want to send this out to any of my family, friends or anyone else for that matter? Why would anyone forward this on?
This is just rude.
Why would you send a curse to anyone?
What kind of person does this?
This is like saying God (or whomever or whatever it is that you believe in) will get you if you don't pass the prayer on.
It's like saying: "I really like you....
"but only if I am your only friend" or
"but only if you buy me presents and my friendship" or
"but only if you do what I want when I want" or
"but only if you are a Christian or a Jew or a Baptist or a Lutheran, or whatever" .
GRRRRRRRR!!!
I do not understand why people have to add that little curse at the end of a perfectly nice email request.
I got an email last week that had a beautiful poem with a wish for my happiness and contentment in my every day life. Nice graphics too! It was a lovely email.
But at the end, yep you guessed it, there was another warning about having something terrible happen if I didn't pass it on.
So, needless to say, I did pass it on....
after I had deleted the dire warnings of terrible consequences.
And something did happen to me that day.........
I won a gift certificate for a contest I had entered online.
So if you are reading this post please do me a favour.
Next time you get one of those emails, please delete the curse and warnings and then forward away! A nice poem, saying, blessing or special thought just might brighten someones day.
If you already do this...GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
You are my kind of person! :)
Oh and by the way, if you don't do what I've asked;
may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.
Ewww.......that's gonna leave a mark!

I thought and I could have sworn.
If I had a penny for every time I uttered the words "I thought..." or "I could have sworn..." I would be a rich woman right now. It seems that my days are a wasteland of lost things. Maybe if I was a bit more, OK who am I kidding?...let me re-phrase that line.....maybe if I was a LOT more organized, I wouldn't waste half my days and nights going through cupboards, drawers and closets muttering "I thought....I could have sworn..". Geesh! It's enough to drive a woman insane and a Hubby John crazy. I am sure he must sit in his chair, with his feet up, watching his TV show while I run around the house looking for another whatever that I thought and could have sworn I had, thinking to himself, "Well if you would get all your crap together in one place and labelled you'd know where it is....if you even have it." See, this is why I need a craft room. Then I would only have to be in one room saying, "I though I had or I could have sworn.". I wouldn't be driving Hubby John crazy. HJ if you are reading this, and I am sure you are, we need to move to a bigger house. I need a craft room. Hey don't even go there! Never mind....you want a heated garage, I want a craft room. Fair is fair! Naw......forget it. Just the thought of packing up all my stuff to move it and then having to unpack it again exhausts and depresses me. If I actually had to do all that packing I would probably die of exhaustion and mental stress. Ha! Yes, people can so die from exhaustion. I saw it on House and CSI and Dr. Oz. Oh sure, I can take Happy Pills for the mental part but the actual work would definitely kill me I am sure. Stop smiling HJ! Can you imagine me trying to pack up this house? Running around with scissors, string, tape and a marker looking for stuff to pack? While you supervise from the chair yelling at me not to run with the scissors because I might fall and poke my eye out. Yah right....who are I kidding? We both know I don't run so that would never happen. But still if we did move you would really go crazy listening to me repeat over and over....."I thought...", "I could have sworn"..."I thought".... Yes, it really would drive you crazy. Hmm.........this is a thought to myself and I should write it down before I forget, (where is a post-it note when I need one?) if HJ went crazy and got put into the insane asylum I wonder how long it would take to convert the office to a craft room. Well there you go! Perfect solution to my problem! No need to move.
Hubby John.....your Nuts! A wild and crazy guy! I need to call our lawyer and have him get started on the paperwork. Now if I could just remember where the Rolodex is. Hmmm...let me think about this for a minute......I thought it was on the desk, or maybe in the office, was it the kitchen? no... aha! the living room.....nope, you know I thought and I could have sworn..............

PITA's and my corner of the office.
I love my desk area at work.I have my very own corner that
gives me lots of room.
I have a window. A big window.
It doesn't matter that it looks out on a grey brick wall
of the neighbouring building.
It is a window and I get sunshine on my shoulder and that makes me happy. Hmmm........that could be a song....ooops!...
sorry Mr. Denver.....it is a song!
However I digress from the subject at hand. I was saying how I like my corner of the office. I have a movable partition that I hang my coat and purse on and that give me and my office cohort, Sheila, some privacy from each other. I am happy in my little corner. I have everything I need and if ever I should need anything more I need only to ask and the boss says, go ahead and order it. My life at work is good and has everything I want. Everything is just peachy. Except for one teenie, tiny, little thing that really bugs me. I have an infestation of fruit fly. No, I didn't make a mistake in not pluralizing the word fly. I don't have fruit flies, more than one, a flock, herd, swarm or whatever more than one is called. I have a SINGLE.......ANNOYING....PITA (pain in the ass) FRUIT FLY. Now, it could be that I am wrong and that there is a tag-team of fruit flies that come out one at a time simply to annoy me. There is that possibility. But since I am only seeing one fly I must conclude that the infestation is of fruit fly not fruit flies. That little sucker defies gravity. I pounce on it and it is gone before I can say "What the.....?" . It waits until I am typing in full fledged data entry mode to attack......flying back and forth, up and down, in and out of my line of sight....and it never is dead when I hit it...or at least I think I've hit it. It is very annoying. My desk is clean, my garbage is clean, my apples are kept in the fridge for the weekend so there is nothing there to attract the pesky little gnat....oops sorry...wrong bug...I mean to say the pesky little fly. I would hang up some of those sticky manila coloured house fly strips but I don't think the boss would appreciate it hanging there for all the world to see when it (the world) comes tromping into the office. I don't want to spray noxious bug spray because of all all my desk pads, post it notes, hundreds of memo sheets that are glued, pasted and pinned to my bulletin board. How would I de-noxicify (is that a real word?) them? Maybe I should take clear tape and tack it across my computer screen or I could write on the back of a post it note on the side where the sticky line is and then tape it up with that sticky side facing out and the boss would think it was a regular post it note to myself. I have hundreds of them, the post it notes not the fruit fly, and the boss wouldn't even realise that I have them taped and pinned up backwards. Hmmmm that is definitely a possibility. I am not sure what to do. This infestation of fruit fly is a very annoying thing. Sigh.....what's poor girl to do? I could try a dish of vinegar left out. I read that this works very well. Maybe some honey on a dish to lure the little bitty fly. Then....BAM! once that little PITA lands it would be gone so fast it's head would spin. I will have to try something that is more successful than my hands, which, it appears, are too slow. Any suggestions out there?
Bring them on! As long as it doesn't involve small children, body parts, pets or spiders I am open to ideas of any kind. Let me rephrase that...I am open to most ideas of any kind.
The office is now open....let the suggestions um...er...fly.

Words of wisdom.
One thing I remember hearing my Grams say a lot when I was growing up was,"Little elephants have big ears." I find myself repeating that phrase now and again and of course my little elephant, Cutie-Patootie Neve, will ask,"Why do you say little elephants have big ears Grams? Papa (or whomever) wasn't talking about elephants!" She doesn't miss a trick ....ever.
So when I read this email that my office co-hort Sheila sent me, I was reminded of my Grams because there is a lot of wisdom in these words and my Grams was a very wise woman. So read these words of wisdom and make use of any you care to. I am sure that is what the author, Regina Brett intended.
This is something we should all read at least once a week. It was written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio. "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more":
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words. 'In five years, will this matter?'
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

A Blessed Good Friday!
I believe in God and the story of Easter. It doesn't matter to me what your beliefs are. I only know that I believe in good and evil and God and the devil and angels. Oh, I do believe in angels with all my heart and soul. I don't judge people for their religious beliefs. Whom am I to cast the first stone and say your wrong not to believe in my God? Normally I don't bring religion up. It causes too many arguments that can never be won. More wars have been fought and lost because of religion. With that being said, no matter how I try to make this post a non-religious based one, it will automatically be that, because of the subject matter. It cannot be helped. It is what it is.
What does one say when it's Good Friday? I know you can say Happy Easter on Easter Sunday. But somehow it seems just wrong to say Happy Good Friday. After all no matter what religion you do or don't believe in, Good Friday is recognized as the day that a man died. Regardless of whether he was the Son of God or just the son of a carpenter, history records that there was a crucifixion.
We know it was a man that was crucified because women weren't killed that way. Women were killed by stoning. It was thought to be a faster and less painful way to die in that the woman was dead in a shorter period of time. Women were considered to be childlike, stupid, male owned chattel that were only good for breeding, baking and working twenty-four-seven. Apparently they had no brains. Oh yeah, women were also considered 100% replaceable. It was thought that women were gentle creatures who would not be able to tolerate death by crucifixion. And besides, what kind of dishonorable man would condemn a woman to that type of death? Not any man that was worth his weight in salt...which had to be ground by women, by the way. No, when it came to killing a woman, stones were definitely the weapon of choice. Cheap, easily accessible, reusable and a much gentler way for the women to die. How kind of the men to think of the woman's comfort in her hour of need.
But I digress. As I was saying, it was a male who died. The death of the man that was crucified, would have been a very slow and agonizing one. This point is irrefutable. I am sure his friends and family cried for mercy and mourned him when he died. He was one of their own so why wouldn't they? People were the same back then as they are today. The death of any human brings sorrow to those left living.
Regardless of the reason for the crucifixion, whether it was because of his religious beliefs or because of the political unrest at the time, a man died.
With the knowledge that this terrible thing happened, how then can we wish each other a Happy Good Friday?
I can't.
So instead I will wish you all a Blessed Good Friday and I will ask the God that I believe in to give you His peace and blessings.

Gingham Skies

Jabbering Jaime has closed down her blog and has moved to Gingham Skies her Etsy shop/blog.
You can find her link here. Jaime is such a thirty something woman. A daughter, wife, sister and aunt. She never backs down from a fight she believes in, will stand on a soap box if needed and never pulls her punches. She is passionate about the people she loves. She knits and sews, cooks and plays a mean game of Scrabble. Jaime will graduate from teacher's college in June. I am truly amazed at the depth and scope of this talented young woman. I wonder where Jaime gets her wonderful and talented abilities from? Her sense of justice and fair play from her father, her sewing and knitting skills from her grandmothers, her cooking abilities from her dad I think. Her passion for words, spoken, written and read, she gets, I think, from me. Sometimes mothers are good for more than just teaching daughters how to iron. I never taught Jaime how to iron. I truly believe that permanent press clothing was one of the greatest inventions of the twentieth century. Stop laughing....I'm serious! I do have an iron. We got it as a wedding present. I just never used it if I could help it. It just so happens that Becky, one of Jaime's best friends, taught her to iron. But her mother, that's me, did teach her to love the written word. I taught her how to create with words and how to explore with words. I think I did a really good job. Go and read her blog. I think you will agree with me.

Getting Sidetracked.
The problem with regularly reading all the blogs that make me go "Ohhhh " is that I keep getting sidetracked to more blogs and more blogs and more blogs. I feel like that TV commercial that keeps multiplying the pictures where "I tell two friends and they tell two friends and so on and so on and so on......... I did start out tonight reading blogs from where I left off last night and as usual I got sidetracked reading my favourite bloggers favourite blogs and blogs from bloggers who left comments. It does get confusing sometimes. But I wont' change a thing because it is all so interesting. I can lurk, although I do try to at least say hello, or I can leave if the blog isn't interesting to me. That sounds mean doesn't it? How can what someone takes the time to blog about not be interesting? But sometimes, just sometimes mind you, I do find that I don't finish reading because they are into collecting bedpans or old bandage wrappings or whatever and it just isn't my thing, so I sneak back out the way I went in. Anyway, I went onto my daughter Jaime's blog and got sidetracked there with her postings of some free giveaways. So I checked them out, posted a link on my blog and am finally getting around to what I originally wanted to talk about. However, as I read back this post I know I am tired and I am rambling again so I am going to sign off, go to bed and start fresh tomorrow night. So goodnight to all, have a good sleepies and have a great day tomorrow!

Update on my latest project.
The first week of March has been put behind me and I am on to a whole new week ahead of me. Hmmmm.....this isn't necessarily a good thing you know. Last Sunday I posted about a great new idea which involved me taking time each day to do one thing over and above regular daily stuff. Sounded like a good idea at the time. I didn't write it in blood and I am glad I didn't promise my first born or I would be without a son right now. I did however manage 3 nights out of the five to do an extra little something around the house so I am still pleased with myself. I am not counting Saturdays and Sundays in this project. I have enough cleaning and running to do on weekends without actually looking for more stuff to do. Ya, like I really would have to look hard. Open my eyes and look in any direction in the house and I could find something requiring my attention. Hubby John STOP LAUGHING right now!! I am going to continue the experiment for the next month and see if I can't get myself into the habit of doing one extra thing each night. I must admit that I did feel really good the nights that I did do something. It made me feel good to see my dining room table and almost my whole living room too! LOL....Hubby John already weak from three weeks of fighting pneumonia almost passed out on discovering that we really did have couches in the living room.
I told you they were there somewhere, didn't I HJ? So on with the show! I will try to do better this week and I'll let you know how it goes.

Happy New Year
DICTIONARY RESULTS: RESOLUTION
res·o·lu·tion (plural res·o·lu·tions) noun
Resolution: a decision: a firm decision to do something
I think that as soon as you use the phrase “New Year's Resolution" you have subconsciously screwed up all your good intentions. You are setting yourself up for failure especially when you make comments that start with the words, "For my New Year's resolutions I am going to.....". It is a proven fact that most people are not capable of keeping their NYR. They are good for a few weeks and then POOF! Goodbye NYR! Technically I did not make a New Years Resolution for 2009. I figured if I did not say the NYR phrase out loud that I might have a better chance of doing what I need to do. I talked to myself and I feel that I need to start trying to take better care of myself. I will try very hard to get back to my Curves classes on a regular basis. I will try to eat fewer sweets. I will try to eat more healthy stuff and less bad stuff. Is French fries bad stuff? I will start taking my health issues (all controllable with medications) more seriously than I have in the past year or two.
Part of my problem is that I like eating candy and I like French fries. I am good at taking most of my meds but there are some that I don't want to take on a regular basis. Doctor say's I need to.
I never said any of this out loud to anyone at, near or on the stroke of midnight on December 31st so technically it is NOT a New Years Resolution.
But I like me and I miss my usual happy self so I have decided that these are some things that I need to try to do for myself. I hope to make 2009 a Happy New Year!

What colour of red are you?

A few weeks ago while lurking on blog space, I happened upon a blog that I visited for a half hour or so. I read all about their family reunion, looked at all the pictures, added my comments and left. From that blog I entered a link that had a colour quiz, or for you non-Canadians, color quiz.
I thought..."why not?!?" and went for it. Turns out that I am Candy Apple Red. I find that interesting because my favourite colour for a car is...yep, you guessed it....candy apple red. It so happens that I own a candy apple red Ford Focus. Ever since I have read Anne of Green Gables as a kid, I have always wanted to have naturally red hair. Hubby Johns' favourite colour is red. I love to eat red candy apples. I like Dorthy's red shoes in the Wizard of Oz. I could go on and on. Anyways, if you have a few minutes to spare take the quiz and let me know. What colour of red are you?

Oh yah, I forgot about that one.
I was watching TV the other night and because Hubby John was working in the office I had control of the remote. I was aimlessly clicking away from channel to channel and I had to pause to get the cramp out of my hand. (how do men do this night after night without ending up with their extremities permanently disabled?) Anyhow, I happened to pause on a station that was playing an old episode of Star Trek. Just as I went to click to the next channel, that famous line was spoken, "Beam me up Scottie!" Awww.....it brought back memories. I started thinking about, (yes, you did smell something burning), famous and not so famous, last, first and middle lines.
Here are a few that came to me:

There are so many more. Too many for me to list, but please feel free to leave your favourites in the comment section. I know that they will make me, and any others reading the comments, smile and I know that we'll all think to ourselves, "Oh yah, I forgot about that one!

I Hope You Have A Good Day!
I was doing what I normally do on Sunday when I was surfing different blog sites. Enter, read and silently leave.
I find that people are so much alike in what is important in their lives. Family and friends top the list. What interests they have seems to be next on the list, and how their day/week/month has gone usually follows. It seems that no one is shy about laughing at themselves if/when they have done something that was silly or dumb or just plain stupid. They are proud to wear a "Kick me" or "Looser" sign for everyone to see. It also makes me feel good to know I am not the only one who does these things.
I like that bloggers can laught at themselves. It makes them more like your neighbour. Someone you would wave at or yell "hello" to when you saw them out in their yard, or in the corner store or walking down the street. Mind you, with all the warnings about weirdo's and psycho's out there in cyber land, what we read on a blog could be all lies. I am sure that there are many bloggers who are not what they write. I am not that naive to think that everything I read is the truth. But to think that someone has no life and that they have to pretend and lie so they can have a blog is disturbing. It's sad and I feel sorry for them. There is so much to blog about. I can't believe that someones life can be so devoid of anything that they have to make it up. Just waking up to a new day is something to blog about and if you have a bad day then blog about that too. There is always someone who will be able to relate and they may even leave an encouraging comment. You see? It's not hard to find something real to talk about.
Anyway, what I wanted to say on my blog today, was that I realized that by not leaving a comment on someone else's blog that I happen to read, means that I am not acknowledging that particular blogger. I am not giving them the respect that they deserve for putting their thoughts, dreams and bloopers where I can read them. I am not encouraging them, or giving them a thumbs up or letting them use my shoulder to cry on. So I have decided that I will not longer sneak in and leave silently. I will let them know I was there, even if all I do is say, "I Hope You Have a Good Day!".
