This is ... what I do with a spare 10 minutes.

"Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!"
Lewis Carroll's -Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass
This is ... what I do with a spare 10 minutes. This weeks theme was chosen by Hoppo Bumpo.
It depends on what time of day and what day it is. If it is a weekday before work I tidy up the house and do any leftover dishes from the previous evening. If it is a weekday after work, after supper and after dishes are done I will go onto my blog or look at my e-mail. If it is a weekend, any time of day or night, I will pick up a book and read, read, read, and that's always the best spare ten minutes of them all!

I second that! Reading during your spare ten minutes is the best BUT it never stops at ten minutes does it?!

I just read an excelent, though sad, book: Cost. It's a fictional story about the effects of drugs on a family system, and about family systems in general, actually. It's done from multiple viewpoints in the heads of the characters...1st chapter was confusing...after that I couldn't put it down. On the non-fiction side: Life is a Verb by Patty Digh who I discovered because one of my blogger artist friends (whose work I own) has art in the book. Most excellent!

I recommend "The Girls" - fictional tale of siamese twins growing up in rural Ontario. Fascinating!

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is fabulous! Have you read Kite Runner yet mom? You would love that story... and I think you might like A Thousand Splendid Suns (same author as the Kite Runner) which I'm reading right now and LOVING!

Thank you ladies.
I love reading books that someone else has suggested. I figure if they rave about it there must be something in it that I would enjoy just as much.
Thanks again for all the suggestions. I've got the feeling that my extra 10 minutes is used up for the next few months.
LOL
