Not a Good Week

This past week was not a good week. In fact it is one of the worst I have had since the spring of this year. Sheila, my office cohort, is off on compassionate leave because of the death of her dear husband Paul. This past week Hubby John and I attended Paul's funeral. Paul is finally released from the pain he has suffered over the last few months. There is nothing I can do for him. He is at peace. I am feeling sad and bad because there is nothing I can do to make Sheila feel better. I know that time will eventually, someday, help heal the wounds and ease the pain of loss. I cannot even imagine how it must feel to loose your husband of almost 33 years. I wish I could do more than give hugs and a shoulder to cry on when she needs it and hand tissues to her whenever I see her. It goes without saying that she and her children are in my nightly prayers. God bless you Sheila, Natalie and Justin and keep you in His care.

My heart hurts for Sheila and the kids. Thankfully they are surrounded by people who love them, it is that love and support that will help them get through the toughest times. :(

Love and prayers sent their way and yours mom.

You are probably more of a comfort than you know. Just keep on being your sweet, generous self Lois with your friend - it's a gift she will treasure.
