I don...I'm sorry I missed this post, Mom.

I don't like to see you sad, it's not often that I see tears in your eyes; I wish I could wipe the hurt away.

Dad is right, there are places willing to help the person you are speaking of if he wants it - not that it makes your heart hurt any less. I'm proud of you for staying strong and saying no in order to avoid enabling him, as difficult as it may be to do so.

If only he could recognize that his actions are hurting not only him but the people who continue to care about him regardless of his poor choices.

I love you mom. I'm sorry that you are having to witness the self-destruction of someone you care about. You deserve so much better.Gingham Skieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05719272761970590702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1387904383787134987.post-80528343331555373432009-05-30T09:40:39.147-04:002009-05-30T09:40:39.147-04:00Lois, there are times when you can only stand by a...Lois, there are times when you can only stand by and be there when the time comes. Hope you are feeling less sad...Heikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03801378466856196406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1387904383787134987.post-86032408351371764892009-05-29T19:55:37.682-04:002009-05-29T19:55:37.682-04:00Yes, it is sad, but you are right about not helpin...Yes, it is sad, but you are right about not helping until the time comes.

I met a lovely lady this week and offered help, but she did not want to be helped. I keep thinking of her and will keep in touch. Maybe the time will come when I can also help.Marilyn Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13115440271615593122noreply@blogger.com
